The Currie 80 high-pinion, full-floating rear axle for the 2018 and newer Jeep Gladiator is offered in 70- or 72.5-inch widths, as a complete bolt-in assembly with heavy-duty brackets installed, or without brackets for a custom install. The vehicle's factory driveshaft will require replacement to accommodate the larger 80-series housing and 1350 series u-joint

Product Features:

Dana® 80 Center
Engineered and optimized to deliver unmatched strength, durability, and rigidity, the heavy-duty nodular iron housing is purpose-built for high-torque, heavy-load applications.
80-Series Gear
Diameter Equals Strength – The Currie 80-Series features an 11.25" ring gear and a 37-spline pinion (left), delivering significantly greater torque and load-handling capacity compared to the 60-Series, which uses a 9.75" ring gear and a 29-spline pinion (right).
Axle Tubes

Large 4.0 in. diameter .375 wall axle tubes (left) are more than 3x the strength of the factory rear tubes (right)

Chromoly Axles

Currie 40-spline full-floating chromoly axles are the largest in the industry and provide 4x the strength of the factory 32-spline axles

Full-Float Hubs

Desert-race-inspired, heat-treated Chromoly spindles with billet steel, full-floating hubs carry the vehicle's weight, eliminating the effects of side loading and impact shock on axle durability. Modified OEM backing plates and parking brake assemblies provide reliable operation with broad availability of serviceable wear items

Big Brakes

13.750-inch vented rotors and OE Jeep Gladiator calipers provide the stopping power with factory pedal feel, while the 8-lug bolt pattern improves reliability with large, heavy tires

Pinion Yoke

The upgraded 1350 pinion yoke provides increased strength and reliability over the failure-prone factory CV Joint

Laser Cut Brackets

Currie heavy-duty laser cut brackets provide increased strength and maintain compatibility with stock and aftermarket suspension components

Iron Cover

Currie rock-proof nodular iron cover protects expensive internals and adds structural support to the housing's face flange

Powder Coat Finish

Full-bracketed fousings feature a UV Stable Satin black powder coat finish adds long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion to keep your Currie 80 looking its best

Notes

ABS Sensors - Does not include ABS sensors; the factory sensors from the stock axle must be retained and installed on the Currie housing

Computer Programming - 2012 and newer vehicles require a computer programmer, such as the AEV ProCal Module, to reset the gear ratio and tire height in the vehicle's computer for proper function of the vehicle's stability control and transmission shift points

Brake Components - Includes new 113.75-inch rear rotors; rotors and backing plates are machined to clear the full-floating hub. Calipers and e-brake assembly are OE direct fit

Overall Width - Axle width options are 70" (+4.6 inches) or 72.5" (+7.1 inches) between wheel mounting surfaces, providing increased clearance for large tires

Wheel and Tire Size: Requires 17-inch or larger wheels to ensure proper brake caliper clearance.
